Alan Smith FRICS - Chief Executive

Alan is a former Premier League Manager with Crystal Palace FC, having taken them up from the Championship in his first season, which was followed up by two cup semi finals against Manchester United and Liverpool. He had further success at Wycombe Wanderers FC and Fulham FC, under Kevin Keegan. Alan is the only Qualified Chartered Surveyor to have managed in the Premier League and to have obtained the highest coaching qualifications. As well as being Chief Executive of Arundel Promotions, Alan oversees the Arundel Property Fund.

 

Alec Stewart OBE - Director

Alec is England’s most capped cricketer having made 133 Test Match and 170 One Day International appearances. He made his Surrey CCC debut in 1981 and his England Test debut in 1989/90 against the West Indies. He was appointed as the official England captain in 1998 and along with Ian Botham, is regarded as England’s greatest all–rounder for his qualities with both bat and gloves. He retired from the game in 2003 and is now a Director of Arundel and its associated companies with particular responsibility for the Client and Event Management divisions.

 

Jon Alexander - Managing Director, Arundel Wealth Management

Jon started his career with Lloyds Bank Plc and having qualified as a Financial Consultant continued working in various roles both in retail and commercial banking as a Professional Financial Consultant. Using his experience Jon then worked as an Independent Financial Adviser for a successful independent brokerage until he joined Sports IFA, Kingsbridge Asset Management Limited. Jon has an enviable track record of business growth and performance, and works with Professional Sports people providing financial advice and asset management on their behalf.

 

Paul Bolt - Managing Director, Arundel Mortgages

Paul has over 20 years experience in the mortgage industry having started his career at the Nationwide Building Society. At John Charcol he became a Director before deciding to form his own specialist Brokerage. Paul is one of the most respected figureheads in the UK Mortgage Industry and has built his reputation on delivering first class advice and service.

 

Gareth Southgate - Director & Consultant

Gareth Southgate was a composed, tough tackling centre back who displayed true leadership qualities right throughout his career. He began his career as a trainee at Crystal Palace in 1989 before moving to Aston Villa. It was here, under the then manager Brian Little, that Gareth established himself as one of the best defenders in the country and subsequently won the first of 57 England caps in 1996 and was made club captain. Gareth moved to Middlesbrough in 2001 for £6.5 million. In June 2006 Gareth decided to call time on his distinguished playing career in order to succeed McClaren as the new Middlesbrough manager.

 

Mark Takla - Managing Director, Arundel Promotions

Mark began his career with Euromoney Institutional Investor, working for Insite Conferences before becoming Head of Euromoney Legal & Lease Training. He later moved to FT Knowledge, a division of the Financial Times Group, to take up the position of Director of Events and was responsible for a multi-million dollar portfolio of financial and corporate events in London and New York. In 2005 he joined BritishAmerican Business (formerly the American Chamber of Commerce in London) as Director of Events working alongside some of the leading transatlantic corporations and financial institutions as well as senior government figures from both the United Kingdom and United States.
