Jamie Delgado burst onto the tennis scene in 1991 when he captured the 14 & Under title at Orange Bowl International Junior Championships in Miami , the first ever British success in the competition.

He turned pro in 1995 and made his Wimbledon debut in 1997. He has been British National Champion in both Singles and Doubles.

In 2001 he overcame former world No.4 and French Open champion Andrei Medvedev.

On the doubles court he teamed up with James Auckland to beat the high-profile Spanish tandem of Rafael Nadal and Feliciano Lopez at the 2006 Stella Artois Championships at the Queen's Club.

His highest singles world ranking was established in August 2001 when he peaked at 121 in the world. Delgado has represented the UK in the Davis Cup , most recently in 2006.
