John Salako

Since hanging up his boots at the end of the 2005 season, John Salako is now forging a career for himself in the media, regularly presenting and commentating for SKY Sports and on the radio.

A skilful winger with great technique and electric pace, he made his name at Crystal Palace where, after joining as an apprentice, he went on to make over 170 league appearances. It was his impressive form at Palace that led to a big money move to Coventry and several caps for England. He went on to represent several other top English teams including Bolton, Fulham and Charlton before retiring after a season with Brentford.
